Um grande incêndio que começou na noite desta terça-feira, 3, no Parque Estadual da Serra do Tabuleiro, em Palhoça, já consumiu 45 hectares (o equivalente a 450.000 m²) de área, de acordo com os bombeiros que atuam na operação de controle das chamas. As informações são da rádio CBN/Diário..Corpo de Bombeiros, Defesa Civil e Polícia Ambiental trabalham desde a madrugada. Ainda há bastante fogo no local, perto da sede da Polícia Ambiental, na Praia da Pinheira. Na manhã desta quarta-feira, 4, porém, o vento está ajudando os combatentes a controlar o incêndio.
A prioridade da operação é proteger as casas que estão localizadas perto do foco do incêndio. Segundo informações que os bombeiros apuraram com pessoas da comunidade, o incêndio seria criminoso, mas nada foi confirmado.
O Parque Estadual da Serra do Tabuleiro é a maior unidade de conservação de proteção integral de Santa Catarina. Ocupa cerca de 1% do território catarinense, com uma extensão de aproximadamente 84.000 hectares.
